CHEMICAL PEELS

In Aesthetic Medicine, chemical peels are defined by the application of a substance on the skin to regenerate it. The objective is to obtain a smoother and more luminous skin by means of eliminating the superficial layer, including impurities, small wrinkles, blemishes and acne marks. The chemical peel is based on the action of acids that are applied to the skin at certain concentrations and in a controlled way.

By designing a personalised peel program, we can correct problems derived from photoageing and acne, such as:

  • Sun spots and age spots
  • Scars
  • Black spots
  • Enlarged pores
  • Superficial wrinkles
  • Skin laxitude (sagging)

Between each treatment session, the time necessary for skin recovery is allowed to elapse, which will vary depending on the product used. About 2 weeks are usually necessary.

Normally between 3 and 6 sessions are required to obtain optimal aesthetic results, although this varies between individuals with different skin types.
